"Unwritten"

Today as I was driving, the song "unwritten" came on the radio. It got me thinking, as random things like this often do, about what I'm doing with my life. Sometimes I get so discouraged because I feel like I set my goals too big and then never get to reach them. Then I just stop setting goals, because I am already destined to be a failure. I get into a slump of doing the same old boring things everyday, just going through the motions. I think one of the best lessons to learn in this life, is that we write our own story. There is no question as to whether or not we will have a happily at the end of the story, we decide that today. The things that we choose to do and paths we take all get a spot in our fairy tale. The past is behind us, and we have had many great adventures thus far, but today is the day to start writing the rest of our story. Tomorrow when I wake up, the sky is the limit. I will never stop dreaming and aiming for the sky. I am the author of my story and it is my responsibility to fill the pages with happiness. That's the real challenge of this life, choosing to make something worthwhile of our lives. Watch out world, here I come.
