Friends

Some of the greatest blessings in my life are my friends. I am so thankful for the people that have touched my life for good. They make me happy; they have shaped my life. I would not be who I am today without them. There is no doubt in my mind that people are placed in our lives for a reason. Often there is a lesson we are to learn from them. I can not imagine my life without my best friends. They make my life so much better and I truly love the way they encourage me to be the best me.

Thank you to all my friends who have impacted and helped me.

I don't think that meeting certain people is a coincidence. I really believe that we are placed and led to situations and to people that we need. Elder Holland gave an amazing talk a few years ago about angels. Usually, I think about the unseen angels. He talks in great depth about mortal angels, your teacher, roommate, best friend, Grandma. All these people that the Lord has allowed us to meet. Every now and again, you come across people that you feel like you have known before, and are destined to always remember. It reminds me of the hymn "Each life that touches ours for good".

“When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day. Some of them reside in our own neighborhoods. Some of them gave birth to us, and in my case, one of them consented to marry me. Indeed heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind.”
-Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
