As much as I sometimes don't like it, life is all about choices. Every day we are constantly making choices: what to wear, what to eat, what do to, how to spend our time. So often I get paralyzed when trying to make a major decision, that, instead of doing my best to choose right, I just try to ignore the decision to be made. I ran across a wonderful talk this week. I know it was no coincidence that I happened to read this talk.
"Look Up"
My favorite quote from this talk is when he states that, "As important as it is to learn Heavenly Father’s plan for our lives, we sometimes get so caught up in knowing every detail, start to finish, that we become afraid to act. Don’t fall into this trap. Make good choices using your best judgment and move forward with your life. We’re blessed as we make choices. Don’t be afraid to make choices because you are afraid of making mistakes. Don’t be afraid to try new things. In doing so, you will find joy in the journey."
It is also incredible to me that as we decide to face each day with an optimistic attitude, opportunities always seem to open up. Use the powerful gift of agency you have and choose to be happy today. Choose to be better, choose to be kinder, choose to be the person our Heavenly Father knows we can be.
